How does the game fit the theme?
The gameplay is focused on the player risking and making hard decisions in order to win. Additionally, the theme is also interpreted in a very literal sense, where you are a contestant on a game show risking their points to win a biscuit.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All of the assets made by others are credited in-game as well as on the game's page.

Really great game show theming! The set, audience cheers, tone of host dialogue, and camera work all really set the vibe well. I can't believe I won $100k! I thought there would be no leaving, so that was a pleasant surprise.
Happy to hear you liked the theming and vibe! Thanks for playing and congrats on winning!
Very nice presentation and framing the game show feel both in visuals, idea, and sound. I think just with a few tweaks the gameplay could be more interesting. The PH meter and hammer didnt seem to affect the outcome other then that I used the PH and then picked it if it was milk. Perhaps there could be some rule or mechanic to add more strategy to what glass to bet on? It would also be interesting to see what score the contestant has, and if I somehow can affect that by luring or forcing him into choosing the wrong glass.
Glad to hear you liked the overall presentation of all the art elements! I do have to agree that the gameplay is very lackluster and definitely deserves far more polish and features. I also agree that the hammer is a little pointless, but I'm not quite sure I understand how the pH Meter doesn't affect gameplay? It tells you which glasses are safe to dip in, which can save you if you're low on points. I definitely agree that there should be a few more mechanics that affect the strategising part of the game. Regarding the opponent's point counter, I was actually intending to add it in but I ended up forgetting. There is however a subtle hint as to who is currently winning at the start of each round. There is also a way to lure the opponent into choosing Acid by using Power-ups, but it's very hard to do. The opponent is also coded to behave differently based on if they're currently winning or losing. Thank you so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
Very good game, I liked the concept. The animations are amazing, as well as the music and effects. Unfortunately, I lost haha, but I had a lot of fun.
Thank you! Glad to hear you had fun playing!
An absolute amazing game to play, very fun and innovative. I love the voice acting!
I'm very glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!
Yo voice acting in a jam game is crazy plus the art is cute. Nice aesthetic and sfx I wish there was something more to fill the common silence though. I feel like it’s a bit too luck dependent as in the power ups dont really do much to change the outcome plus their cost is insignificant too so maybe some balance would be good
Thanks for the feedback! The power-ups were coded with the Risk elements in mind and they're supposed to slightly turn the game in the player's favour, while also still being tied to the Risk. I have to agree that the power-up cost is a little insignificant. Thanks for checking out the game!
I really enjoyed playing this it's so fun and unique + liked the voice acting
I'm very glad you enjoyed it along with my voice acting! Thanks for checking out the game!
very cool game, the art looks amazing and very polished, and the voice acting is great!
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed playing! Thanks for the kind words!
There is, apparently, no leaving.
Yeah, it seems that way.
Had so much fun with this one. Would love to see more crearly the interactions with my oponent, but overall a excellente game!
Glad to hear it! You make a good point about the opponent interactions. I have to agree that they are pretty lackluster. Thanks for the feedback!
Cool game! Thankfully I won and got the biscuit instead of...
Thanks. Happy to hear you got the good ending!
That was fun experience. Not many games have voice acting. The game show setting was well executed. Lots of randomness in the gameplay but given the game show setting it fits. Liked the ending where its implications are suggesting some darker world than initially expected. Also i did get a bug where 3rd round repeated for some reason.
Good stuff!
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun creating the game show idea and theming the game around it. Also really glad to know you liked the ending, I tried to add a hint of humour from something unexpected happening, so I'm glad to hear people like it!
I am aware of the bug where the third round repeats, it's due to the way the game is coded and I'd have to code the whole game from scratch if I wanted to fix it. It makes me a little sad that I couldn't release the game in a more polished state where the gameplay wasn't so buggy. Hope it wasn't too annoying!
Thanks for the feedback!
This was an amazing experience, felt just like buckshot roullet. I like the 2.5 art and the dialogue!
Just sad of the minor bugs of the opponent not choosing anything that you have to go twice. Otherwise it was a perfect game!!
I got the 2 endings first lost and than won big time! Where is my money???
I'm very glad you liked it! It makes me really happy to know the gameplay felt like Buckshot Roulette. It has been a massive inspiration behind this game so I really appreciate that I managed to convey the same feeling!
Yeah I'm very annoyed at the bugs as well. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to finish the game in time and so I coded it very frantically. I would've loved to re-code it entirely from scratch so that it's done efficiently, but sadly I didn't have time to do so.
Glad to hear you got both endings! The check with the prize money is in the Golden Biscuit, you have to crush it if you want to take it out. Of course if you damage the check the show is not responsible and will not provide a replacement.
Great game with a lot of effort put into it. I did notice when items became available the AI would use one then never risk their biscuit and the round would end when I ran out, this could be a bug
Thank you! Yeah the AI only using one item is sort of "intended". I meant to implement both of the items for the enemy's AI, but since the way I coded the whole AI behaviour was extremely unoptimized and inefficient, it made it impossible for the AI to actually use both items. Basically what ended up happening was that the AI would always use just one item and would never under any circumstance choose the other in any playthrough. So I sadly had to scrap the use of the second item.
When you use the Hammer (which the AI also uses), you take a glass out of the equation, which means your turn gets skipped. The Hammer is meant to be used so that you can choose a glass without having to face the consequences.
This isn't mentioned anywhere in the game, which is a big mistake on my part, but you and your opponent actually both have "lives". Cookies represent your lives, as you only have a set amount of cookies each round. If your Cookie gets dissolved in acid, you lose it, therefore you lose a life. If you run out of cookies before the current round finishes, the Host will end it and start the next one.
I really appreciate the feedback. Thanks for checking out my game!
OH wow, didn't expect to get to play a game show, truly impressed,

Very polished and fit the theme well - enjoyed it a lot

I loved everything about this game! It's short, gets to the point, very fun to play, good pixel art, fits the theme well, and very impressive ! Keep up the good work!

Glad to hear you liked it! Thanks for playing!
This is INSANE. Seriously, WOW! You got one week and you used it! I loved every second of this. The game really can't be done without the voice acting and the audience cheers, awesome job on the audio direction.
Thank you so much! I'm very happy to hear you liked the game!
NO LEAVING!
Wow, I did not expect that. its really great, you totally nailed the theme! While the sound quality of the VA is not that great, the acting is nice. I loves the vibes and the art - I also love 3D with 2D models so ... very awesome!
Music is fitting and game-like. One of the best experiences I had so far!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game and my voice acting! I'm aware that my mic doesn't sound too great, I'll be upgrading it soon (hopefully). Really happy to hear you liked the whole experience!
wow! U did such a great job with the VA though... if u ever want to team up, feel free to reach out! Really loved your game!
Thanks! I'll definitely keep your offer in mind!
