It's like what if Anomaly Warzone Earth let you play as both sides.
First I thought I had found a dominant strategy and THEN i played as the units instead - super clever
Good job!
This is such an underrated gem in this jam. I love the changing of sides, forcing you not to make really strong forces, or else you will lose the next round!
But I found a really easy tactic for the defenders:
And the attacker aliens:
And it works basically all the time... keeping your defense far away from the aliens and for the next round keeping your aliens right behind the towers, and you could go for as many days as you like. Maybe you could force the player to place down all the towers or force them to use better upgrades. I can just buy some upgrade for a tower I will never use. Or you could do what Balatro did and make some random event happen during the rounds to foil your strategies! But it is a great concept, and if it were a bit more fleshed out, it would have been really cool.
It was amazing how much strategy goes into playing against myself! All of the different troops and modifiers makes me want to play many times to figure out the perfect strategy! And I loved how the battle takes place over three different battlefields! GLORY TO HIGH EMPEROR ZOGLEBOB!!
After playing for a few minutes my response is 'WOW' it looks so good! All the art is consistent! And the menus and all of it looks amazing! Really nail it here! Nice work!
Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!
This was a flawlessly executed idea! I really love the fact that you have to control both sides and I had fun trying to balance it out on both sides and win everytime. Felt like a puzzle game within a tower defense and I also loved the roguelike elements with the cards. Overall, great work!
Really fun and switching sides is so cool. Great game!
very strong core idea and execution! the balancing walks a fine line and that is great. what i found to be a bummer is that my main stategy was mainly to switch sides of the battlefield all the time, so basically as aliens to attack from behind and as humans to build a fortress in front, which is fine but kind of repetetive. But I still enjoyed the game very much, made it to day 9
Solid game loop and good art, it really makes me stay and continue to play it many times haha
didn't read the description, was absolutely end-of-shutter-island shocked when i switched to the other team for the first time, solid game, beautiful art, love a good tower defence vibe <3 so good, i'm so blown away by what people can achieve in such a short span of time.
Wow, first I thought it's just gonna be simple tower defence, but then it turns out I'm actually playing both sides!
I like that idea, but I feel like it's hard not to choose the side you want to win more. Like I struggled to choose if I want to make my turrets weaker just so I can fight them later, or what do I want to achive in the end. But it's a nice fresh twist on tower defence for sure!
Did not expect that twist! Loved the game alot
This is so well done! lots of polish and an interesting gameplay loop, very nice.
If you dont mind, please consider rating my game as well :)
I like having to fight against my own strategies, really cool take on the theme!
I like the audio a lot
pretty cool upgrades
nicely done
One of the best games I played in the jam, Bravo! Really underrated.
fun game, i like the artstyle
Hi!
Played the game. It was fun but a little repetitive. Also I don't know what was the reason behind the fact that our units were stronger when we had control of them.
And having the same units as a reward in a reward menu is a waste of an option for the player.
Well done btw :)
I love the art! Great job
Thanks! I had never tried an actual color palette before, and it just felt like cheating.
