Pretty scary 💀 You capture the feeling from Amnesia quite accurately! I also dig the unique presentation, although maybe I wish it’d be dialed back just a little so to not get in the way of the gameplay. I assume the confrontation with the beast is the end of the game, or is there a way to get past it?

Happy Halloween, and thank you so much for playing! Yes the encounter with the monster is the ending, although I wanted to do a little bit more afterwards I was pretty tight on schedule so I had to leave it there. I'm planning on taking the original concept and turning into a full and complete game as I had a lot planned that was scrapped to save time.

Wow that starteled me quite a bit!

The games mainmenu and ui are really really polished and good looking, the UI and the gamepage telling you how long the game is gonna take to beat really serves the player and I wish more jam games did that.

The game is very hard to navigate and at my first playtrough I spent like 5 minutes going in a circle, the layout is confusing, everything looks the same, the game is super dark and the torch shine thing is distracting, it takes up like the whole left side of the screen, there is no like landmark or anything so that was quite unfortunate and very hard to navigate.

Here are some smaller details that I think could make the game a bit better:

More reverb on the step sound, the game takes place in a cave and it should echo alot, but it's quite a dry in room type of sound.

The torch can clip trough walls.

The lean mechanic seems pretty unecessary.

Possibly adding some falling sounds or something before the jumpscare to build tension? The jumpscare was quite unexpected, which did startle me, but beforehand I wasn't really scared.

I was completely immersed in the gameplay.

The attention to detail makes the game feel so polished—truly excellent work!

Thanks a lot for playing!

Nice concept. I really like the look of the game. Esc is not really the best button for web build because itchio uses it to remove the focus from the game and I couldn't lock my mouse to the game after that.

Developer

Thank you, from the other 3D games I played for this jam; that's a pretty common problem. But if you want to retry it, make sure to toggle fullscreen in Options, and don't press Esc during the gameplay, the pages can be put away by clicking outside of them. The mouse will automatically be captured after that.

Pretty good. But it's a little hard to see around.

Developer

Thanks, I have recently updated the game so the walls are more visible.

The render is very nicely done. Immersive ambience.

I couldn't go very far because I didn't see much, the torch takes half the screen and themouse controls are desynced on web (no fullscreen)

keep it up !

Thanks for playing! You can toggle fullscreen in Main Menu Options
