The doodle art style is pretty neat! It would be even better if the UI and text were hand-drawn as well, that would really tie everything together and make the doodlestyle feel more cohesive and intentional. Also, props for pulling off a multi-attack animation, that’s pretty cool! My only complaint is that the movement could be a bit faster. Other than that, it was a fun little experience. Great work for your first jam entry!
Congratulations on your first game jam submission!
Nice job getting a full game done and even 3 hours 3 minutes before deadline.
Love that you created the assets yourself, instead of an asset pack - great job.
Nice work even implementing a combo attack with the sword.
Keep up the good work and good luck on the jam!
The doodle visuals are quite fun to look at. Good job on submitting a game! I also really like that you have combos with the sword.
ok , its very cool that you decided to make your own assets by drawing yourself, the movement are kinda slow , its nice you made different types of enemies , the double jump is a nice touch with the combo attack.
I like the art style, but you could zoom in a bit, there is a lot of unused space.
Great first entry! With a few more animations and a bit of extra polish, it could be even better.
The enemy design is awesome! It felt really good to slice away at the crabgunner. a bit more clarity regarding taking damage would be nice. I liked that different stages had different objectives.
It's true! You do need a high IQ! (I don't and suffering for it)
This is without a doubt the best comment I've gotten on my submission. I laughed for a solid minute after reading this. Thank you for taking the time to play my game and writing this comment for me. <3
Cool! It resembles old flash games which i really like but character could be faster and some simple effects like particles and screen shake would be great.
Your right! I actually realized this hours before submission time. Even the damage taking effect was added at the very end. I am new to this, so I'm still learning
i think its cool for first jam, but you can add more speed for char and some game juice
