Yes - I'm new to game jams!

How does your game fit the theme?
It is a momentum based 2D-platformer. You get started by literally turning on a robot. As you move it around, one small initial movement can build up into explosive speed.

Loved the mechanics of sliding and wall jump even tho the floor felt too slippery which caused most of my deaths lol it was still fun, really good game.

As a person who loves games where you can build up momentum, I can only say: I loved it!

I liked this game, really well themed. The movement mechanics are difficult but I think thats intentional. I think this game would benefit from some more open level design with an emphasis on high speed momentum conservation. Like a lot more slides and high speed jumps. Some of the wall jump sections seemed a little slow for the move set. Also I think I cheesed the ending. I was at the moving platform section and had a lot of momentum flying right toward the void. When I respawned it showed the thanks for playing screen prematurely. I must of set off the end collision somehow.  Great game tho, really nice movement tech

Developer(+1)

yes it's a known bug because it's a world boundary collision. Already fixed on my local version XD

Its quite fun, but I personally don't enjoy this type of moment that much. The two things I don't particularly enjoy about the movement are that when I'm on a wall and press away from it I instantly can no longer wall jump. Additionally, the fast transition from slowly sliding down a wall to falling full speed on the wall is jarring.

I love the idea and I imagine when you get going it feels super satisfying, it can be jarring when you suddenly get stuck though, with a little playtest and tweaking this could be awesome I think

Amazing concept you got there! For your first game jam this was great! But I need to tell you that I took 10 minutes in the first jump and still can't pass it... :,)

Slide dashing and wall jumping have been done before, but the way you implemented them into requiring a certain amount of speed was genius. the part with the elevator leading into spikes in the ceiling should probably have been removed and just let players focus on going fast

Submitted(+1)

The game is very difficult for me. But, overall, it is a good game. Going fast is not my cup of tea (Sorry, Sonic) but I think it has potential for other people.

This game has some serious potential. It looks great and movement feels smooth. It definitely needs a bit of  tweaking still, and the start was really difficult without getting any practice on the movement. But I still really enjoyed it. Awesome work!

Putting that spike trap right before the first checkpoint is diabolical lmao. But I really enjoyed the game! I adore the idea of getting access to more moves the faster you're going, very cool risk vs reward mechanic!

I really enjoy the cohesive visuals, yet I still do feel the fact that the physics need a little bit of tweeking in order for the game to reach it's full potential

Thanks for the feedback! What sort of tweaks were you thinking?

Its like a momentum based precision platformer. I feel like the momentum mechanic good but is really difficult to work on levels with tight spaces. Game has a lot of potential. Nice visuals tho

Loved the game, it looks really good and plays really good. The description does feel like it was written by  AI and it was a tad bit difficult

Submitted(+1)

Looked nice, played nice. The running and jumping around was satisfying, but man oh man was it difficult

Great Usage of the momentum, not something I have seen utilized like this often. You incoorperated the theme well and I really like the speed one could build, although I was not able to play it all the way through. Great game overall and only more minor things I would critzice.
