Didnt write this originally, but i was HOPING that i could at least partially finish this project. Maybe get back in the flow state yk? anyway, read the post-mortem about why this was a huge mistake and my i'm absolutely FUMING right now

Okay, so like 2 weeks ago, i realized that this project was an absolute nightmare to work with! everything was extremely annoying to add on to and things were interacting with everything else in strange ways and stuff just... refused to work when i added it. So anyway back to right now (12:14 AM, i need to be up in less than 6 hours) and i get back on the project for just a second to fix a crash bug right? so i do that and i decide "well let me go test out my project real quick, just make sure that everything kinda works" and i do that and like 7 extremely annoying bugs show up. I say "okay, whatever. I'll fix the most game breaking one and ship the game!" and i go to ship the game, and right before i upload the build i decide to launch it real quick and suddenly ALL OF THE GRAPHICS ARE GONE! GONE! they just dont render! i have no idea why this is happening, and i simply do not have the time to fix it. Anyway, this build right here is from several months ago and it severely outdayted, BUT at least it works i guess... I'm genuinely so mad right now, because i basically just wasted a week and a half of my life working on a project just to not even be able to ship the actually good build (which, mind you, is actually significantly better than what's on itch rn). i added a new weapon type, improved customization, better dialog system, better graphics, and a bunch of other stuff, and i cant use ANY of it!! maybe i'll go and try to fix the bug but i just cant right now, i'm so sick of this game and i really should've just gone with my gut feeling and improved on Dash with the fireball (which pleast check it out its actually pretty alright). Anyway, that's my ted talk i guess, i dont have much else to say lol. Lession learned about scope creep combined with not planning ahead at ALL i suppose... I implemented basically all you said in the newer version, but what happens happens. The sound effects definitely need some works, I'm not great at sound design lol. Glad you thought everything else was pretty good <3
I hope you will find the motivation to continue this project. I really like this kind of game and I feel a very good potential in yours. The UI design is very nice also. Nice game, keep the good work!

Hey man I fee your anger, had something similar happen to my game in an early stage. Make sure to check your bin on your desktop. I straight up deleted all my sprites one time.
Anyways I played your game and it had very fun mechanics and beautiful art! do wish you wil pick this one up again eve after the anger hahaha. The graphics are what I liked most about the game together with the soundeffects. Even if this version is old it handles pretty well and looks finished. You shouldnt feel so bad about this project, it very much still has tons of potential to be a fun game to people out there!

yeah, unfortunately its not as simple as i deleted everything accidentally, its just that nothing renders but only specifically in the build... I'm planning to maybe pick it back up with more knowledge later tho lol. Thanks for the feedback <3 I'll check out your game :3
A cool card game prototype!
Seems like the project had some problems, but I do think it is a cool idea to maybe continue or redo in the future, great job and keep it up! Please check out my game if you like Metroidvanias or platformers :D
