  • A full 3D speed based game is not an easy thing to make, the world was charming and the hovercraft felt reasonably good to pilot when it got going. Unfortunately, overall it was tough to play, and the payoff was quite small (though the girl is cute!) Instructions would have been appreciated, alongside at least a tiny amount of story. The rival aspect has been reached with the inclusion of the enemy hovercraft, and I believe enemy pilot, as per your description.
  • Welcome to the Community, tentents! This is your first game project, and we’re happy to have you aboard. At first, the lack of instructions was a bit confusing, but the more I played, the more I actually enjoyed not knowing exactly what was going on—it made the pursuit way more heart-racing! Regarding the rivalry theme, it isn’t super clear how it applies here. I suppose the spacecraft chasing you is meant to be the rival, but it doesn’t really feel like a rivalry; it feels more like a straight-up enemy (or even an assassin). I get how the two concepts can get mixed up since they’re similar, but a true rival is usually someone who pushes you to do better while chasing the same goal—could be a friend or an enemy. This ship, though? It’s not racing; it just wants you dead. The feeding minigame was a little confusing at first—I couldn’t figure out how to get the burger to the character’s mouth—but once it clicked, everything fell into place. It does feel like the game might have been a bit rushed for the jam, but I can assure you the core gameplay loop is actually really fun. That pursuing ship is terrifying :-). Bugs / issues: The burger counter doesn’t update when you win. When not in fullscreen, a lot of the UI gets cut off. I’m not sure if the “Love Counter” at the bottom of the screen ever updates during feeding. The feeding minigame ends very abruptly the moment the final burger is fed. Great first entry overall—keep it up!
