Welcome to another tools jam for the Amiga Computer. The Amiga celebrates it's 41st year in this universe in the Summer of 2026. My name is lifeschool, and I'm a co-Global Admin of Lemon Amiga.com. Last year, I hosted the tools jam, and hundreds of dollars in cash prizes were given out! So this year I'm hoping for the same.
This year there is a small change. Any submitted tool or app must be completed (e.g. V1.0 or better) before the submission deadline. You can of course submit WIPs and demos, as long as the tool is considered finished by the deadline, or at least in a stable and releasable state. Any tool or app which was started before 2026, but completed before the submission deadline, is acceptable. Any tool which has already been released, (e.g. IFFChunkTool now V2.0) is not acceptable, as this would be a tweak or revision, and not a new tool. So entries already submitted in previous years are not suitable. But hopefully long-standing projects being developed over many years can finally be submitted.
The jam is now open, and will close November 26th at midnight. Voting will then commence, ending on December 24th 2026 at midnight.
Cash prizes will be awarded once again to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd most popular submissions. Initial funding for the prizes comes from my patreons, who have backed my efforts over the years, and it is purely from their donations which I am initially using to fund the jam. All other contributions welcome.

Submissions must be entered by November 26th 2026. After that, there will be a period where submission entries are be judged by the public, with votes being hidden and shown after the closing date for voting. This makes sure there is no delay to hand out the prizes after the compo is closed.
Submissions can be anything as long as it is NOT a Game, a Graphics demo, or Music demo, a Slideshow etc. Other examples which are not acceptable entries are: Icon packs, Workbench wallpapers, Artwork etc, as these are not tools.
Some good examples of entries include: a Tool, Utility, Paint, Audio, Multimedia, App, Command, Commodity, Font, Library, Resource, Guide, AmigaGuide, Productivity, Workbench, Hack, Screensaver, Device Driver, Script, Colour Util, Screen/Sound Ripper, etc.
You may only submit something that was completed during 2026, and before the closing date for submissions.
You may submit more than one entry to the jam, but please dont submit separate revisions of the same tool as new entries.
Tools must work on a real/emulated Classic Amiga, e.g. Workbench 1.0-1.3, 2.0-2.1, 3.0-3.9, or Cloanto/AROS. No OS4.
You may use any programming language and/or compiler to make your entry.
You must include information about system requirements, bugs, WIPs, ToDOs etc.
Documentation on how to install and/or use the tool must be included.
Topics such as soft and legal drug use, sexual innuendo, and faiths and religious tools ARE allowed.
You may NOT submit anything that is malicious or harmful in content. For example, hard drug use, pornography, self harm, rape, or questionable psychological or religious manipulation tools (such as Racism, Provocation Speech, Extremism, Scientology, etc).
You many NOT submit comments or tools which seem impolite, rude, or in bad taste. However, it is ok to submit tools which seem to go against a politically correct stance, if those tools are meant as a joke.
