Hi! Fastfrwrd.info is an 18+ space for the eco curious and eco obsessed to gather and chart courses towards utopic futures!
This March 2026, we want to have a game jam that celebrates ecological creativity!

Rules:
• Games must be produced through Ecosia or similarly Carbon Neutral/Negative browsers.
• Games must be produced in Twine which has a unique markup language, HTML, CSS, and Javascript as its codebase. It is very beginner friendly. Resources linked below.
• Games should have at least a line or an image alluding to the existing Fastfrwrd multiverse so as to preserve the illusion of multiverse threads.
• BONUS: OPENSOURCE AND CREATIVE COMMONS, taking public domain material and doing something cool with it.

Theme: To be announced

Expression: You may post explicit content and 18+ materials as the platform is intended for adults. That said, please observe the manners of polite society in your content or else provide proper rationale for choices.

Existing Material:
Visit the https://fastfrwrd.info/games/ page.
To Hive & To Hold is a Solarpunk interactive fiction about Mikki, the Hivemind queen of the Chimera hive. This interactive fiction is available to the public, features some language and some allusions to violence. The game takes about 1 hour a half to 2 hours to beat, so set aside one sitting as the game does not always save your progress for when you return to the link. Free to play! (Carbon negative, you help the environment with it!)
Food M.D.
A Carbon Neutral Game by Fastfrwrd.info
Food MD has you playing a food doctor who prepares healing meals across the multiverse of Fastfrwrd stories and has to properly diagnose patients while cooking real-life recipes! Recipes are plant-based mostly and make vegan cooking fun! Check out the prototype! (Carbon negative, you help the environment with it!) NOW: With a “Conspiracy Theories and Dinner Dialogue” expansion! Make the Veganuary appropriate recipes and have a dialogue about each recipe topic over your meal!
Lunarshift is about a Lunarpunk society of werewolves, gathering at the Alpha Conclave. You play Cecile, the leader of a rogue pack from the Caribbean and South America. When a major event disrupts the Alpha Conclave, it falls on the shoulders of you as Celine to rescue werewolf-kind from irreparable damage. Warning: Mature Themes, 18+ Only.
This interactive fiction is available to members only and costs 15 site points (Dews) but you can go into the negative. The game takes about 1 hour to beat, so set aside one sitting as the game does not save your progress for when you return to the link. Ask @Wheelsgr for the password if you cannot find it in your messages. (Carbon negative, you help the environment with it!)
In Sedition State Ecology you are the leader of a coup to take over the island nation of Listra and rebuild it to accommodate biodiversity. (NOT CARBON NEUTRAL, WEBGL BUILD)

Recommended Tools:
Canva is more or less eco and you can technically draw in Canva: https://www.canva.com/
There is an eco video conferencing tool called Crewdle Connect: https://connect.crewdle.com/
Waterbear Network has videos you can watch that plant trees or take plastic out the ocean. It would be more eco than watching Youtube if you wish to do the eco challenge to the tilt, and need entertainment: https://www.waterbear.com/
You can offset stuff with Trees.org one-time donations (they plant food forests in needy communities).
List of items containing oil, gas or plastic: https://fastfrwrd.info/oil-gas-and-plastic-list/

You can share your eco actions of Fastfrwrd's Activity Feed and collect points and if you go method and do the Carbon Neutral Challenge fully... well no points exist to compensate this so perhaps we will just need to do an interview with you for the Fastfrwrd blog podcast to hear about your experience doing the Carbon Neutral Challenge on the hardcore setting - phone only eco when using Ecosia's 200% renewable browser, Fastfrwrd's 300% renewable platform and with locally grown food, no use of fossil fuel powered vehicles, perhaps having to forego electricity unless it is solar. We will have to hear about your experience! (Recommended tools under "Resources" above)
+50 Dews (site points) for Opensource assets and tools for future game makers. Think, Twine themes and CSS sheets that can be used to further build upon your game world with similar theme. Music tracks that other game makers can use, no-code friendly shortcuts for point-and-click interfaces to make game mechanics similar to the ones you employ, an easy way to add the Fastfrwrd points system to Twine games, etc!
+30 Dews (site points) for Accessibility! Think colour blindness, dyslexic friendly fonts, audio for those who cannot read, adjustable font sizes, etc!
+150 (site points) BOYCOTT BILLIONAIRES :P Don't use anything from a billionaire during the process.
• 20 Dews (site points) for all participants unless they have made disturbing content
What can I do with points?
We have a marketplace of digital goodies that you can spend your points on. Other users make stuff and put them there. Points are earned for doing eco things, like building a game in an eco browser! You can also add the points system to games with our API and have your game require people do eco actions in order to progress through your game!
BONUS: 50 DEWS (SITE POINTS) FOR ADDING THE POINTS SYSTEM!
AI not recommended as it is not ecological however you can, if you wish, use Ecosia's eco chatbot. You will be asked to declare AI use and we may forego publishing based on this.

FAQs:
(No one asked this yet but:)
Multimedia: If you get your game put on the platform we will need to host your multimedia files like music, images etc. Ensure you name your files properly and have them prepared for publishing.
Publishing: The processing of the game submissions is variable based on the number of submissions as we have no limit on how many projects we can publish. That said we will try to play your game as swiftly as possible. It will be required for you to provide a summary of your game branches to speed processing. Should your game be selected for publishing, you will be asked to fill in a form that we will use to categorize, assemble and publish. You will need to update the links to multimedia in your game based on the website multimedia links where we host your files. This will take a bit of coordination so publishing should be seen to take around 2 months all together as an estimate although it could be faster. Let us hope it will not be longer though!
Licensing: Typically our games are Creative Commons Attribution
Sharing: This is not a competitive jam, anything of a certain standard can get featured on Fastfrwrd. In this case it might be interesting to share assets and create cross-team threads and multiverses. You can organize and share in the Fastfrwrd Game-Makers Group or even sell assets on the marketplace during the jam so other jammers have to do something eco to get the assets for their projects as well! You can freely add to the Game Maker group docs with your worldbuilding, storyboarding, etc.
Standards or Criteria for Publishing: Basically anything we enjoy. But there might need to be a certain thematic consistency relating to the existing stories of solarpunk and lunarpunk themes of ecology and utopia but also with fantasy and high stakes situations. Skill, mechanics, these are all considerations. Atmosphere (music, aesthetics) etc. You do not have to conform to the existing style choices but the Fastfrwrd colours in general are yellow, black, white, purple and the various story worlds have various colours as well. We typically do not have red, orange or stark blue (baby blue and cyan instead). The fonts used are Chewy and Courier New, however we are always on the search for an ideal font so you can experiment with aesthetics. Characters that exist do have specific physical descriptions that will be outlined in the Materials section shortly.
Pre-existing material: It depends how it is used.
