Such a cute and cozy game! I love it so much would love to see more of it!
Very cool crochet game and the design of the grandma is incredible!
It took a while to learn how to play, but I really enjoy the game! must have a free creative crochet mode.
This was a cute and very cozy little game. Y'all did a great job with the feeling and the theming of the game. The art and the music come together very nicely and the sound effects make the actual crocheting quite satisfying. I love how the narrative is told passively as the game progress, it adds an extra little element that keeps you hooked (pun intended) on top of the gameplay, which itself was very easy to understand and still took some time to wrap my head around (which is not a bad thing by any means, as someone who crochets in real life I feel like you've really done a good job capturing that experience).
All in all this was a great entry, and congrats on submitting to the game jam!
Mom used to make some killer blankets. Thanks for this bit of chill grandma simulator <3
Such a unique and creative concept! The game is very cozy, maybe the pacing is a bit on the slow side but I like it! I'd love to see an expanded version of this! Good job! :)
A cozy and heartfelt game. The mechanics are smooth and easy to grasp, the art style is so cute and i love it. The music is so soothing and you don't get tired of it when crocheting. I love strategically placing yarns and watching the stories unfold. It's a warm, creative experience from the start to finish. Great work on the game! :)
Really creative concept for the theme and amazing art and animation! I had a bit of trouble reading the text
Chillout and make pixel art, you say? What a wonderfully wholesome game. Very cool how each family member is represented by their own color. Loved the art and concept.
Ran into a bug where gramma's hand got stuck sliding up and down the string after I told the wheel not to move. Cleared the bug by erasing the previous block, but it kept re-occurring. I stuck with it because I wanted to see how the rest of the story turned out. Glad I played!
What a charming and creative entry! Some of the UI is sometimes kinda hard to read, but nothing that disrupted me to crochet as if my life depended on it (I loved it!). The vibe and mood are spot on and really pleasing.
IMO it also would benefit a QoL adjustement on the game pace, so that the player can speed up the game once they reaches the flow.
Good job!
I was excited when I saw this crochet simulator. It was on my team's idea list so I was pleasantly surprised that a team actually created one :) I love doing crochet, and I think this is a nice way to simulate it! Though maybe you can speed it up a little bit? Once I got into the grove I felt it was a bit slow. Maybe you can have a setting for the players to change?
The art is amazing, and the music goes well with the overall vibe! great job! very creative too! This game is one my favorites :)
Cute game! I played three levels. It seemed backwards that the color changed when I stitched. It seems like it should change when you reach up to the machine. The phone call idea is nice, though the names were kind of hard to read.
Good game, great job!
Really chill game, ramps up in difficulty fast
As a person who really loves crochet, this can be my daily cozy game to play. Cute art, music was chill too, gameplay I wish it can be a lil bit faster. Overall good one, I love it !
Oh, thank you so much for this great comment. ^^
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
And yes, we thought about making the game faster, but we decided to stick with a totally chill and zen vibe.
this was SO adorable, It felt so cozy! wish the pacing was just a tad bit faster but overall a great game!
Oooh! Thank you so much for trying our game! It's a pleasure! And we're glad you liked it!
Yes, we hesitated to speed up the pace, but we wanted to keep it very cozy. And since it gets more and more complicated afterward, we wanted to keep it very zen.
The pacing could be faster, but I like the idea a lot, very interesting take on two themes (crochet / pattern making) far from "classic video game" terrain
First level is pretty slow but it's an interesting game
First level was painfully slow. But it seemed like a good premise. Then when I went to select the 2nd level I got soft locked.
Hi, thank for playing! It sounds like you encountered this bug:
Make sure to wait for the entire patchwork to fully display at the end of each level to ensure your progress is saved. If you exit the level too quickly, you may have to play the level again :( Apologies and have fun!
Thanks for checking our game out, sorry you encountered this problem! This was really pleasant (and I DO mean that as a compliment). Great vibe, loved the artwork and the little stories, as well as the "talking" sound effect. Brilliant. I did find that I wanted to get going a little faster in order to keep my interest, especially on the later ones. The disembodied hand... kind of creeped me out. The music didn't really work for me. I was hoping for some cozy Grandma vibes, but it was just low-tension beeps and boops.
Really enjoyed the vibe of this game! I did wish that I could speed up the yarn pulling sometimes though, as I felt like I spent a lot of time waiting (especially if I missed a click and had to wait for another cycle). But then again, patience is is part of the crocheting process, so the deliberate slow-paced nature of it does make sense thematically.
I played this on stream today (video here) if you’re interested in watching a playthrough of your game. Great job!
Thank you very much for playing, and for streaming our game!! It's amazing to watch people play it and comment it :) Thanks for linking the stream to us, glad you enjoyed it <3
