The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment invites you to end of 2025 with a BANG! Join us for a One-Day, In person Game making marathon!

The theme will be revealed the day of the event during the Game Jam Kickoff.
At our Summer 2025 outing we introduced the Winnitron. The Winnitron is a open source platform that allows individuals to make a Windows-Powered arcade machine.
Games made at this event that fit the format will be showcased on the Winnitron arcade, where guests can play and enjoy them. All creators will be properly credited and celebrated for their work!
You are allowed to work with others and there is no limit to how many people can be on one team. This a short game jam, and time is limited. the more people working together, the bigger the capacity for your game. IT IS GREATLY ENCOURAGED TO WORK IN A TEAM!! Interacting with your fellow humans is part of the magic of an in-person event. Be Social!
The rapid growth of AI and its impact on our industry cannot be overlooked. While they can be used as an effective tool, there are many ethical concerns around its use cases. For this game jam, we will NOT allow AI image/Music generation. We also Heavily Discourage using it for programming. The goal of the Game Jam is to learn and work with others. We recommend using your teammates or other resources to learn and cover the holes in your knowledge.
All Assets in your game must be made by you (or your team) during the event. Please do not use other assets made outside of this event.
You may use any Game Engine or IDE’s that you wish, with the EXCEPTION of IDE’s that are tied to another game (I.E Roblox, Dreams, Scratch, etc) You may NOT use these.
1. For this Game Jam, we request that you make a executable build. You can make a HTML version that can be played on the browser but it is preferred that it has an executable. This is for the Game Jam Exhibit, so It is easier to make an application for it.
2. On the itch page of the game please make sure to give proper credit to all who worked on the game. For proper credit please include their name (or username if they prefer) and any links they request such as social media or portfolios.
3. During Submission your team will be prompted to describe your game, this will be used for the game exhibit.
*Rules are subject to change, All changes will be made publicly available prior to the event.

We will only provide snacks and water, there will be a dedicated hour where attendees can find lunch in the Swan's Market Area.
Nope! In fact, this is a fantastic learning opportunity! We encourage you to team up with an experienced developer so you can benefit from their knowledge while collaborating on your projects!
