Jumping from enemy to enemy is fun! I love the pixel art work on the characters.

This is a very fun platformer! I really enjoyed the ending

Fun and well polished, I loved chaining up the bonks; very satisfying!

Very cute and a very fun platformer! I loved the little open ended story, makes me want to explore more of this spooky little world. The little bonk sound effect made me laugh. Can't wait to see more of your work in the future!!

It’s a fun platformer. Both the visuals and the sound design are really well done!

The game definitely has potential for expansion, like adding boss stages, more enemy types, or special items.
One small thing though, the invincibility period after taking damage feels a bit too long. It might be better to shorten it a little for a smoother gameplay balance.

It's a good platformer. I like that there are several types of enemies, and the pixel art looks amazing. The sound of killing skeletons is also pleasant, especially when they die from a jump.

Very nice game, i have an azerty keyboard so it was a bit more difficult for me but gameplay is nice, sound effects are cool and the story at the end was funny, overall good job!

Wow! Fun little platformer game! I liked the way the difficulty slowly ramps up, with the gradual introduction of the new enemy types.

This is fun! I love a little Halloween platformer, yes. I liked the way the difficulty slowly ramps up, with the gradual introduction of the new enemy types and all. Plus getting multiple enemies with one jump felt great. The writing also made me smile.

Smooth 2d platformeron GDev! There's something really satisfying about jumping on the skeles heads as a skeleton. I wish the music was a bit spookier to really amp up the Horror/Halloween theme, and maybe a bit more story but other than that it's a great start.

Very easy and very simple game

Should be more difficult though I feel

great job:)

The element of defeating skeletons by repeatedly stomping on them is fun! The difficulty level is very easy, so I think it can be enjoyed by a wide range of people.

Fighting the evil skeletons as the good skeleton was good fun. Although I do wish it was easier tell them all apart.

You did try, but angry eyebrows and being a pixel taller doesn't easily show up much in action, nor does being colored gold.. Still fails an outline test.

The gameplay itself was fun, the bone tossing to deal with sword skeletons was nice.

The levels felt a bit same-y, and the enemies got a little spammy in the last one but still the core gameplay in them worked well.

The ending was funny and a not bad pay off for making it to the end. Even if it was a bit saddening learning there was indeed no boss fight and that was the end..

Hope I'm not too cruel, all together I was a fan of it.

With a little upgrading to the level design and the art this would be pretty nice. As is, good fun.

Thanks for the feedback! I wished I had more time to refine the levels and probably add a boss battle, but I didn't have enough time to do so. Still, I had a good time making this game and getting responses from other players to see what I needed to improve on if I want to make similar games like this one in the future.

A really funny platformer! I love the challenge of the last level and the ending is pretty cool, great entry!

A simple and fun game, I enjoyed playing it, well done!

Oh my god, am I in heaven? The music is simply a masterpiece. It may not suit this game very well, but damn, it's amazing. I really liked the game itself. Not a bad idea, increasing difficulty, throwing your bones in exchange for health. And it's quite funny at the end. A very good game. Well done!

Great game! Really enjoying this, there are sometimes where I kind of "touch" the other skeletons mid air and it registered as me stomping them on the head, not sure if that was intended, but everything else about the game is great!

Also, love the ending.

Originally, I wanted to have the player stomp on the enemies on their heads to defeat them, but I couldn't get that to work properly. So I went with a much simpler method and made it so that the player would defeat the enemies if they fell on them.

Ah, this was a cute little platformer. I enjoyed finishing it, but a few things to consider if you're going to keep expanding this one or maybe some thoughts for your next jam game:

  • The levels felt repetitive. I think sprinkling in more platforming features across the levels would be great—maybe consider adding new enemy types or other mechanics, too—but even just editing the game back to feature only 1 level (instead of 3) and making it slightly longer level would have done the trick for me
  • The collision boxes felt too big for both the player and the enemies. This led to a few close calls for me during my run, but it also made some parts of the game easier as I knew I didn't need to be too precise when it came to smashing up other skeletons

Thanks for making and sharing your game!

Thanks for the feedback! I currently don't have any plans on expanding this game, but I wanted to make something different for this year after making two Scream Jam games with the cast from "A Spooky Cat-venture" and its sequel. I'll probably go back to making another game in the Cat-Venture series in the next Scream Jam.
