The template should work for renpy in general but I don't have any experience with linux platforms using renpy (this is also a bit old as well so I'm not sure of what issues could arise in general)

I haven't used this asset yet, but seeing as Python and Ren'py are both cross platform, there should be no issue running this on Debian (as long as the required python version is installed).

I am planning on using this asset in a new project I'm starting. I know this comment is over a year old, but if I run into any issues, I'll document them here, along with how I tried to resolve them.
