I installed it from the WineHQ repo. I'm on Wine 10.0, running under Fedora Linux. I haven't had any problems with it this way, so no matter your distribution I would recommend getting wine from the official WineHQ repos rather than through your distribution's packages which may be outdated or broken. It worked, i just purged everything wine related with help of this thread
