I played this game as part of the jam. I liked the idea behind it, but I was unable to finish because the game was too dark on my monitor. There was almost no light at all and I was always running into things as I couldn't tell them apart from the floor. For instance I couldn't see the barrels at all. I hit them every time. There were other times I ran into things with no idea what it was, and I had to navigate blind.
I'd suggest increasing the brightness some overall. It's a common mistake to think horror = can't see hand in front of my face, but here I feel all that did was make it near impossible to play. After 10 minutes stumbling around blind I had to stop.
Also I found an odd thing out when playing the game: When I go to craft the game assumes I will always want to craft when I interact with the table. I tried to hit cancel all three times to see what happened and still made...something. Not sure what as I will have ended in a branch somewhere. If you didn't change it cancel will be option 2 in that last so I will have done a potion always doing option 2 with that. I'd maybe either set it so cancel lets you abort the potion, or disable the cancel option (both are choices in the default engine when you do a show choices command).
