You presume that the prophecy could be interpreted as "It will release on a specific date," but rather, you should have interpreted it as, "the update will release on the day after the current one," meaning that it will forever remain in the state of being released "tomorrow".

The release date is eternal, brother. It is simultaneously releasing and about to be released. It is here and is never here.

I imagine someone could make a religion out of this concept.
