I’m sorry to hear about your experience and your frustration. Treant has been a boss that we’d nerfed a few times and after the last time, we haven’t heard people having troubles against him much anymore so we haven’t made any changes to him.

We have plans to improve the game with better tutorials and balance the whole game again once the game is finished. However, with us being a team of two main members, there’s only so much we can do so I hope you’ll understand. Balancing the game can take a very long time, since it’s hard to know when to stop, and it would require more than us playing, given that we are already good at our own game. While we’ll try to do small adjustment to make it not too frustrating, the whole game will be looked at and balanced accordingly again once everything is done.

With that said, here are tips that can help with fighting Treant:

  • Treant is weak against Fire so Fire as your second element is not a bad idea.
  • Be careful of the order of skills you use, as Fire interacts with Freeze gems, and Ice interacts with Burn gems. If you want an additional damage, then use Fire after Ice. If you want to charge physical skills faster, then use Ice after Fire skills.
  • His Poison can be countered by [Antidote Gel]. You need to sell materials to Gimdin and then buy it from Murvin. Antidote Gel will help getting rid of hard to reach [Poison] gems while preparing you for Treant’s next attack.

We’ve been reported by some people that they didn’t know about getting new accessories from Gimdin, so that is something we would like to improve as well. Perhaps a tutorial of some sort in the future.

Thank you for playing the game and I’m sorry again that it’s been frustrating. We will definitely work more on the game’s balance in the future.

Thought I ask also if you can also pick what the primary element is so its not always frost, since if you pick fire as the secondary one, you basically have a double edge sword between the 2 elements for the entire save file like you just said. Plus, there are also enemies that resist frost at some point in the game, and I don't know why a save file can't draft from all elements and classes in the game, rather then be locked into 1 class and 2 elements, with one of them (frost) you'll always forced to take whether or you like it or not, and one (fire) is the double edge sword to it.

Also, for the Antidote Gel, I think the game said I did unlock it at the blacksmith, but the merchet never had it available after I unlocked it, nor does the game make it clear how you can use items on your own turn in combat since there's no "inventory" button that I saw in combat that lets you use consumables on your turn for free or for 1 action point.

As for his poison stacks, I think the amount he applies is reduced to 6 gems over 12, and the one skill that buffs its damage increases it by 1 and not 4, or only last for 1 turn. That's just my ideas.

Finally, there's no way to tell what the elements are weak or resist since there's no info on the UI screen to tell you an enemy's element and their resists and weakness, so how can someone know he's weak to fire if nothing on the UI tells you his element and there's no Pokemon type chart in the game to tell you "wood is weak to fire and resists water," especially when you aren't told your own character's element if you have some medallion that changes it and adds 2 weaknesses to yourself.

I hope that helps for feedback for now. Maybe I should wait until the game is finished in a few years or so to come back to it, but for balance patches, that boss is definitely one to look at since I don't know how other people are clearing it when you aren't using fire, and its confusing when the merchant even sells an antidote even after I think I unlocked it.

You will be able to buy all the other elemental spells in the next chapter. The first chapter is to not overwhelm you with all the choices, as there are many more later on (as you can see from how different each player’s build can be in the other posts)

I don’t think I’ve run into anyone saying that an equipment is not available after unlocking it before. Perhaps you have bought it already? I think reading the equipment description would make it clear, as it is not a consumable item but an equipment you have to equip, and the description clearly details how to activate it. There is no using consumable item during the battle in this game.

Volga himself has no innate resistances and weaknesses. You can only modify them through the medallions.

Thank you again for the feedback. For now, if the game is too difficult for you, and you want to see the rest of the public version, I would suggest lower the difficulty down so it’ll be less frustrating.
