I hear you. What makes jam games fun for me too is the unpredictable, experimental nature, they’re like a developer’s sandbox where anything goes. I know I’ve caught myself slipping into bias (like being too harsh on sidescrollers just because I don’t usually enjoy them, only to review it again before posting), and I think a lot of comments come from that place, even if not on purpose.

That’s why the comment you got reads more positive than negative to me, the person called your game the most fun absolute! which is great praise, even if the wording stuck out. I like your point though, jams are at their best when we judge games on creativity, not just polish, and I’d love to see that culture grow. I’ll give your game a proper try when I’m at my PC tonight and share some honest feedback :)

I have been in way too many game jams, and I have learned to read between the lines. And yes people is kind, and that is good thing. But they also trying to tell me what they are really thinking about without being too rough. Pretty fun and I don't like repeating intro, tells me a lot what people think about my game. And that is totally okay that they don't like it, or at least don't like very much.

Yeah, l guess true honesty isn't good for the person commenting, so it's cool you've learned to find hidden feedback in the otherwise too kind and vague comments. I would love to see crazy controls, silly genres mixed and unseen mechanics, but I'd say it's more likely in GMTK than the Brackeys jam.
