I have been playing this on my chromebook via the html file from gn math, and I have to say, WOW this has to be the upper limit of what my chromebook can do. It runs surprisingly well, only the occasional lag spike. It also seems to run better when not in fullscreen, which I guess makes sense, it displays in lower resolution.
So I really want to beat this, it would be the ultimate bragging rights to say I beat Hollow Knight on my chromebook. As others have pointed out, trying to absorb the dreamers freezes the game, making the main endings impossible, but there are endings not dependent on the dreamers that im surprised no one else has mentioned! These, as far as I can tell, ARE *technically* possible on this version. But there's a glaring problem...
...Literally. The godhome fights have a special screen transition that doesnt play properly, resulting in a huge white glare covering 90% of the screen when attempting the pantheons. So yes, the godhome endings are possible, if you can do it effectively blindfolded. I certainly can't, the best I've done is reaching the second fight of the first pantheon.
Now, I dont know how this port works, maybe the dreamer crash isnt fixable. But surely something can be done to remove the glare. Maybe it isnt possible to make the transition play properly, but cant it just be removed? or replaced with a single pixel? I dunno. I hope it gets fixed, but if not, I still have a lot of other bosses I can do lol.
