This is weird. There might be a few reasons as to why this happens.
1) An antivirus program blocked the internet access for the game
2) You don't have a stable internet connection
3) Patreon is not allowed in your country
You are doing nothing wrong and this is some sort of connection issue. You can try reopening the game to see if that works. If not, you can send me yoru game logs.
