Steered towards this by Lucy.

Art style was neat and I especially enjoyed the occasional key visual scenes in your usual style. Music was great and enhanced every scene it was in. I liked the Undertale-esque vocal chatter for the dialogue and you did a good job with the animation effects to push the emotion you were trying to convey. Story was eerie and dystopian and didn't outstay its welcome with the run time.

The one and only criticism I have is the part when you're putting your nabe ingredients in (see: your bottom screenshot) I thought the game was stuck in a loop. I eventually realised I need to drag and drop the ingredients. I'd suggest having Jiangshi C saying something different than "Pick the ingredients up and drop them into the pot when you're ready" and maybe lightly insulting you as steering you towards the top right of the screen. The issue is the art style doesn't make it pop enough, even if I do feel stupid typing this in hindsight.

As a technical addition, exiting the game from full screen made my monitor very dark. Easily fixed by flicking HDR off and back on. I don't believe it's something you should put much stock into trying to fix as it seems a fairly rote Windows issue. Just wanted to be thorough and add it though.

Anyway, thanks for your blood sweat and tears. I really enjoyed it.
