A bit of a late reply here but thank you so much for the feedback. Honestly, during the development process I just became a lot more concerned with fixing the vast list of bugs, from minor to game-breaking ones, rather than spending time on improving basic aspects of game design. The immediate death after crouching was a result of being unable to fix a variety of bugs I had ran into whilst trying to keep the player in a crouched state when uncrouching under tight gaps. I'll definitely take your advice into consideration for future projects, I hope that sometime you'll be able to get around to playing the third level, trust me it's great fun.
