I'm guessing it has something to do with that character's dialogue preset... personality?
For now, I recommend avoiding that interaction with the following characters.
"Amelia, Nora, Ayuki, Ruth, Ruby, Sophia, Emma"
Alternatively, use Hug and Kiss
