The mission does not specify the faction of the heroes you play, we only suggest using Human Empire as the enemies, in fact we'd encourage the opposite having multiple different races, the example given in the background is an orc but you are free to mix and match. Heavy is a rule in the rulebook which makes you move -2" on a normal move and -4" for running.
