Just to be clear, rolling a 1 or 12 always increases your stat? Also, is this like Lasers & Feelings, where you have one number representing yourself, and you want to roll above for Blood and below for Breath?
I also don't understand how you obtain Inhuman or Human Traits; that's not very clearly explained. Nor do I understand how you "lock" the ability--do you pay, using Bloodlust as an example, 2-3 Dust, or 12 Dust?
Apologies for the error on the stat increase/decrease, thank you for pointing this out. On a 1, the stat increases, on a 12 it decreases.
Yes it is similar to Lasers & Feelings from what I've been told of the system in how it uses one number foryourself and you roll as you've said.
You obtain any human or inhuman traits that your stat is in the range for (eg.with a stat of 6 you would be able to use Changeability and Unnatural Luck). Locking a trait must be done when you are in its range by spending dust equal to its lock value (eg. Deathless Flesh has a Lock value of 9 so you spend 9 Dust). Locking a trait allows you to use it even when out of its stat range (eg. Having a stat of 5 allows you to use Unnatural Luck and Deathless flesh, but the player has previously locked Changeability so is able to use this as well).
