The volume is supposed to appear as rectangles, it's supposed to look like the volume going up and down on old tv/vcr, lol. And yeah, it does require a smaller font. Which theme did you use that had the issue? Each theme has its own font, and I thought I made sure the ones we had in there could handle curly quotes just fine.

But it doesn't support smart quotes, which is created from MS Word and the like? So not sure it should be an issue if you're not copying and pasting? Unless your keyboard is cooler than mine and supports things mine doesn't lol. The same with the EM dash, you listed above, I think.
