I saw the last update the game got, so I decided to play it. I got up to the first few days of the school and the shower scene and the initial orc servant scene and then it says I'm all caught up, but I see from the update that there's already much more. Is downloading the game the only way to get the full access that's been provided? Is the Game Browser mode more behind than the downloadable content?

There are 2 main routes.

It sounds like you played the Highrock/Academy branch, when the latest update is aimed at the Gladiator/Ludus branch.

When it comes to the public build, there's no difference between playing it in your browser vs. downloading it.

How do I go with the Gladiator/Ludus Branch? I've played it twice now and have naturally gone down the Academy route

The main divergence is whether you catch the thief in Chapter 1 or not.
