Hello, I and many others like me really enjoy the game Hellfire Factory. However, Chinese players find it quite difficult to fully understand the game without translation assistance. I previously used XUnity.AutoTranslator to help play the game with translations, but after the 1.01 update, similar methods no longer work for the game.

Therefore, I wanted to ask if it would be possible to consider adding simple multi-language support to the game. Something like text in JSON or TXT format, where translation files for other languages could be imported(I don't really understand it). This way, I could create and provide a fan-made Chinese translation patch.

Anyway, we all really love this game, and of course, the previous one, Demon's Soulbound. Just between us, the reviews for Demon's Soulbound are a bit better.

Thank you once again for your hard work in allowing us to enjoy such great games.

Hi! No idea why the autotranslator won't work anymore, I haven't changed anything that'd break it.

However, I'd like to prepare an update for easy fan translations: The game will have .txt files with the game's complete text in its folder. You'll be able to mirror those original text files with any language and the game will automatically use that translated text. Would that work for you?

That's more than enough. Thanks in advance for all the work.
I never expected it to go so smoothly. You're so kind.

NP! :) I'll do the update soon. I'll reply here once it's up.

The free version has the custom translation feature now. (The updated paid version is still uploading.) There's a zip file with instructions and the txt files you'll need to translate inside. Basically, you extract two .txt files into the game's folder and translate them. The game will automatically use these two files as a text source. The game relies on line numbers, meaning removing or adding dialog lines is not possible.

Let me know if this works for you, or if you run into any problems. :)

Hello, I downloaded the new version and created a patch according to the guide. I tested a small portion of the game, and basically, all the text has been localized, including the interface, dialogues, options, and prompts. There are also no issues with Chinese font display. If I encounter any problems later, I’ll be sure to provide feedback.
Thank you for everything you’ve done. I didn’t expect it to be completed so quickly. Thanks again!  :)

I'm glad it works, thanks for testing it! :3 I wasn't sure if the game's font could display everything needed for proper Chinese translations, but it looks like it's fine.

The only thing I couldn't get to translate are the dropdown list contents.
