I couldn't find anywhere to give you a suggestion but you should make a controller support extention, for switch ps, and Xbox, but mapping every button to the same index so coding is much easier.
Hmm, I believe both SDL Joystick and SDL Object (paid, but recommended) already do that.SDL Object is compatible with all exporters btw.
