Hey, just wanna say I think being able to select both the player's gender and a wide-range of species is a really great choice to appease everyone, and, can technically make this a HMOMA or HFOMA game, which are both really rare in the VN space, surprisingly! I'll definitely recommend it to the former if I can. Also, damn, I'm surprised how common the trope of some form of scaly working at a gas station is!

(update, protagonists gender is selectable now!)

I think the protagonist being male is completely fine seeing as all fvns and fvns spaces  are centered around mlm and queer relationships. I don't think we need to add female protagonists as it ruins the mlm and queer representation there are sooo many games with females protagonists like otome games ect, but it's just not that way for fvns. That's like asking Otome games to add male protagonists.

While I totally agree with this the gender was always selectable (male, female, neutral). I originally was going to make it mlm (since Cooper is supposed to be canonically gay) but as a queer person myself I wanted to see him navigate relationships with other queer, straight, non-binary, trans etc. furries. It didn't seem right to make a game that excluded a significant portion of furries, esp. furries that are non gender conforming.

In saying that, the way Cooper reacts to each gender is unique. I also hate the fact that I can't play as a gay male in normal otome games ;p So even though making all these options was absolute hell to code, it was a majorly important part of the overall story for me.

I totally understand!  your game is completely amazing with/without gender options!

Literally this. The exact reason why I never play Otome games, ;( hence why fvns will always be our space :3

I agree, there's so many spaces with female protagonists but so little queer/mlm representation in games, the fvn space is literally all we have. Personally I would rather not ruin the fvn space with female protagonists. I can hardly read books with female protagonists 😭

tbf there's hardly any mlm and wlw books\games in general ESPECIALLY wlw (it's less popularized than mlm, and even then it's hard to find something good and not sexualized)
Also compared to female protagonists there's alot of male protagonist media statistically! i think you're just noticing female protagonist media more
nonetheless i still wish sometimes that i could play a male in otome games but alas.

Thank you so much! I kind of responded down below but I really enjoy games where I can play whatever I want to. I didn't realise human on anthro was such a big want for people but glad I can provide.
