I'm not sure if you'll end up reading this, but honestly this story was beautiful. You're a great writer and I'm sorry you felt as though you didn't deserve to tell a story that deals with such important, real topics. That being said, I think the way you dealt with issues such as racism, slavery, etc. was very well done and thoughtfully integrated into the narrative. I'm glad to see you're still writing on Patreon and working on other projects, because you really have a rare talent that deserves to be recognised.
