Fun game! Overall, I really liked it. Here's some thoughts

Things I liked:

  • The sound design is genuinely amazing; it feels really interactive and cute and wholesome. Its just super crisp. Like some of the best game jam audio I've heard
  • The overall style and colors were really cool
  • I think my favourite 2 levels were levels 9 and 10, they felt chaotic in a good way
  • The difficulty curve and how new mechanics were introduced was natural
  • The characters are soooo cute :)

My only real piece of constructive feedback would be that sometimes it was a little frustrating trying to select one of the little ones, e.g. if it went behind one of its (oh so cute) friends, or if it suddenly stopped. Perhaps putting the little ones on multiple different platforms could help this (by effectively spreading out their hitboxes in the y axis). Of course, maybe this was deliberate (causing more chaos is definitely a valid game design choice).

I want a plushie of a little one now :/

Wow, thanks so much for the detailed feedback! It means a lot, and I'm glad you had fun and enjoyed it.

I'm especially thankful you liked the last two levels, because to be honest I was a bit worried they'd be too hard. Was definitely aiming for a chaos effect, but my partner and I both experienced times where we'd pick up an unintended target by accident too, which I agree messes with the flow a bit.

Avoiding that by introducing multiple elevations is a great idea! Considered more predictable movements as well, like having them interact/bump into each other and change direction when they intersect, which could be interesting haha.

Again, really appreciate the time for the writeup, you're very kind :)

You're welcome :) Having them bump into each other would also add to their cuteness, so I'm a fan of that idea!
