I know that the stiffness is intentional, but the execution and writing could be much better. Rather than feeling natural, their conversations and interactions just feel awkward and unpolished for me).
I'm working with a new editor now and these scenes went through him, as a result the style has shifted a bit; but if anything I feel like the scenes benefitted from it a lot.
