This is really nice! One of the best I've played so far! Congratulations!! Music games are already hard to come by in a jam, where people aren't usually focused on sound to begin with. Not just that, but the music sounds really nice too. The artworks are also top-notch, and I can't begin to think how much effort you guys have spent during these 10 days. Gameplay is really charming and cosy too. Well done!

Other things I like:

  • Cute birds and animals, all hand-drawn too, which baffles my non-artrist mind
  • Fun melody reciting mechanics, reminds me of an old Zelda game (or a different one I honestly can't remember). Haven't seen these for ages
  • Story is short but sweet
  • Rhythm game! Who doesn't want a good music game?
  • Progression felt nice, not giving the player all notes at once is definitely a good choice

Suggestions:

  • I hope you could use buttons other than the number keys. Placing two hands there, especially during the DDR section, felt weird and uncomfortable
  • Texts are super small and really hard to read when compared to every other thing in the game. I would suggest making a screen-wide dialogue box instead
  • The frog singing part, although cute and calm, spent too much time playing music intros when compared to the part where you actual sings. Consider either shortening it a bit, or better, putting in more parts where the player can sing along with instead
  • The background music in the dancehall area is a bit too loud compared to other parts of the game
  • More content please! The game finished just when we were getting started :(

Anyway, well done! If it got made into a full game, please let me know! Would definitely want to see more if it

Thanks a lot for the kind words, this really means a ton to us!

Your feedback is spot on, and we are definitely planning a post-jam update to round off the game.

We also want to explore all different kinds of music-based puzzles, so we're happy to keep you posted!
