Erm... 4 elements was the theme 2 years ago (joke)

Most "popular" game right now can't even be played on itch, uses a bunch of Ai generated art and generally sucks. Like I said, popular means nothing

I will definitely be adding map variety if I make another game like this, I didn't have time to figure out how I'd do it in this one but it's on my list of things for the sequel

I'd love to add traps that activate once per round, so you can goad enemies into them, or pits that you could shove enemies down for instant kills. And also improving the ai to allow for multiple player controlled characters, and possibly walls that block line of sight, ect...

Glad you still enjoyed it regardless :)

Just couldn't beat it, the lense thing didn't move fast enough for me to catch the projectiles once I saw them, and the ball itself was so noisy that I had a hard time noticing the energy leaving it before it was too late

Well done!
I think all classes are somewhat "OP" in their own way, at least it's what I was hoping to achieve

He's very angry

Hehehe >:)

Is that thumbnail Ai generated?

Got stuck on the first minigame, but the art is nice

The "popular" listing is very biased when the games are brand new, it likely doesn't mean anything, no offense

Which button?

The point is that the game is old-school, that's how I chose to use the theme.

Sounds great, excited to see what you come up wit

I agree with Brickccentrics comment, a cool concept but there's just too little going on and so much downtime

Great game! Fun gimmick, especially the one where you have to push blocks in both dimensions, very cool

Thanks you!

Thank you for the positive feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it despite it not being your kind of game

Hmm alright, that is an interesting idea. At the beginning I did want to have multiple nights with increasing difficulty, so that could definitely be one way we improve the game. Thanks for the feedbac

I like this game, reminds me of Darkwood (but you probably know that)

Thanks! What kind of features would you like to see added to improve the replayability?

To skip his tutorial

I think I've heard that like 10 times now lol. I'm guessing it's a good thing

I'm not sure this is the right place for self-loathing. Participating in a game jam isn't just about winning, it should be about making a game as best you can

It definitely takes some getting used to. What would you suggest to make it easier?

Thanks! The old man at the start tells you how to play now, if you want to not instantly shoot him

Good points, I definitely could change their stats a little, maybe the green guy could be faster but have less heavy and the opposite for the orange one. Big stuff coming to the game after the jam!

Thank you! Definitely will be taking all that into consideration when I update the game. Glad you also like the green one best, he'll be getting a bit of a rework so you can use his other 2 abilities more often as well. I love how everyone likes different aliens best

Yeah, I'm gonna make all the aliens have healing since only the green guy can do it. I think I'll have to nerf the stunning on the Purple alien and maybe buff the other two but I think they're fun too

Also I forgot to add SFX until the very end and just added a few to have something (I'll add more)

I think you should change it to a turn-based game instead, where you draw a certain amount of cards per turn, but you keep the thing where you lose health when you use too much mana

Immolation of the Flesh

Doesn't Immolatio mean "Immolation"?

How would you suggest I do that? Touchpad isn't really meant for gaming....

Me too :)

Thanks, it's G for fullscreen. One of my playtesters told me F was too close to D and they kept pressing it on accident

Very cool ror1 type game

Unfortunately the e key on my keyboard is broken so I couldn't play this

You may simply need to change the Viewport dimensions if you want your game to work on itch

The jam's being hosted here for a reason, it's kind of important for it to work here
