Really great concept! Took me a bit to get the controls down, but I had fun once I did. Having such little control while in the air made it tough (not necessarily a bad thing) and I found the game would go into slow mo mode at weird times? And audio would've been nice, I listened to the Mirror's Edge OST while playing which helped with the vibes
Thank you for playing and the comments! Lmaoo, I wanted to show the dam breaking open and the river flooding through, and my first thought was to do it like, well. that.
1. yeah I didn't have time to debug what was wrong with dropping items unfortunately :/
2. That's an issue on the web build! Idk why!!
Played this for longer than I expected I would! Gameplay loop is great and makes you feel like a real photographer (waiting for the perfect shot and burst firing shots). Money margins are super slim and profit is slow even after a while of progression though, some tweaks there would make it even more addicting
For these types of games I desperately want to get a Perfect! on each level, so being able to go back to the menu, see your best score on each one and being able to retry them would be great.
The conveyors are really hard to adjust to, like I have no sense of timing if they're slow lol, but I think I just need to get good.
I totally agree. I wish I could have implemented more gameplay as the whole game honestly doesn't even feel like enough to be a demo. The files are totally randomized, but yeah, the timer was thrown in last minute. I always had plans for the game to be on a limited time. In an ideal world the game would have had a currency system maybe based on correct files scanned and you could buy upgrades or maybe progress in some story line.
I appreciate your comments! Thank you!
Super creative! I don't know if I've ever played a game that encourages the part of my brain that loves to cheese games. It's like stealing a box in mario maker to skip an entire section of a level or saving a dash till the end of a room in celeste. Felt good to play too, great job!
It's a bit awkward when you're trying to save up dashes and jumps and you use one, and then you don't know which one from which level got used up. I don't know if that can be helped though.
