That seems like a fair compromise, I like it because you can introduce is as epically, or mundanely as you want, from adventuring for weeks with Amber for it, to Lily's family cultivating it for generations because "It repels insects really well".

Sorry if I seemed pushy, I liked the idea where the established town virgin gets pregnant on her first time, and the reactions and gossip(well meaning) of the villagers to that ("That Lily?" "The human?" "Is that even possible?" "Hasn't been a week")

So far I've been enjoying it, it's hard to get a furry VN that has straight love interests, and ultimately you're the one who has to put in the work, so it's better that you have fun with it, I'd rather like to have this one go the distance.

For someone who doesn't like pregnancy you wrote yourself into the pregnancy route too easily, if you don't like a fetish you shouldn't ever mention it in-game (specially how it was introduced).

Here's what you could do(if you don't want to re-write), just before talking with whoever will tell you if anthros and humans can interbreed, MC thinks if he even wants kids and you give three choices:

1>Whatever happens happens/It wouldn't be the worst thing.

(Early character pregnancy ending)(you can leave it grayed out, and write it at the end of development)

2>Maybe someday, but even if, later

(Continues the story normally, choice for pregnancy later)

3>No never

(Disables it entirely)

And the one MC talks to reaffirms it (1>Others that we know of before never had a problem 2>It's unlikely 3>It's biologically impossible).

About no pregnancy for the main characters, I'd rather have no pregnancy at all than having a character tacked on that no one will even care about, just for the fetish part. Remember you're selling a story, but most importantly(due the nature of the work) the feelings that come with the story.

Pregnancy is more than creampies and round bellies, it's the feeling that you're starting a family with someone you care about, if that won't be a main character then I don't know who could qualify.
