This was one of my favourite games of this gamejam! The game has a lot of charm. It was meme-y but not like in-your-face meme-y which made it really pleasant.

The graphical design was really pleasant and the mechanic of fishing in any that’s blue is a cool concept.

Love the ending, too. Also, I tried to fish the sky because the sky was blue. I feel like you definitely made that a thing, I just couldn’t figure out how.

Love the concept! Also, nice to see another 2D Platformer in the running. Game wasn’t too hard for me, and I can see this being able to be expanded upon. And this is apparently also your first game just like me. Very impressive for your first.

I could see this developing into something really fun. Kept me playing until I ran out of inventory space.

Possible Fixes -If you hold an item near the end of the belt, it disappears and considers it dropped off the belt -There are times where the game doesn’t give you what you need, so you end up filling all the shelves of a certain type, and have to just lose the health until you get what you need. -The speed stat doesn’t seem to touch your speed while holding an item, unless it was just so small I didn’t notice it

I really enjoyed it though. Would definitely play it if an expanded version came out

Very nice! Smart getting around fully animating everything by making them bobble. Kind of reminds me of a YouTuber’s game Equilinox where he does the same thing for his animals. Fit the theme quite well. Great job!

I love this! This is really creative! Sometimes I struggled with matching the beat due to spacebars being a little bouncy, so it’s a little behind, but maybe that’s a skill issue. Overall, I loved it, and could see a more expanded version of this with maybe more mechanics.

Definitely a fun tech demo. I could see this game getting good if it had more intricate hazards and subobjectives. Weirdly enough, this kinda reminds me of the older game Paperboy, where you’re kinda trying to survive while avoiding things.

Thanks! Was supposed to have an intro sequence and an ending (and obviously a better difficulty progression), but I absolutely overestimated our time and skills lol

It’s only fair that since I struggle with your game, you should struggle with mine. Lol Nah, I spent an all-nighter Saturday night finishing things up. Mere hours before I submitted, there were a total of 0 levels. So, I’m just happy the game is playable, and possible.

This jam was a great learning experience! Looking forward to doing more of them

Thanks for playing! I’m no animator (and barely an artist), but move around some pixels enough and it works decently lol

I’ll make sure to let F3ar know you liked the music. He borrowed my macbook and midi keyboard and had to try using Logic Pro in like 2 days (he’s never used a DAW before). So I was pretty happy when he sent me the songs, and they were actually pretty good despite the conditions.

Thanks for the input! Yeah, this was my/our first ever game and game jam, so definitely didn’t know fully where to allocate my time. This definitely helped me adjust my strategy going forward.

The game is very difficult, so it’s not just you. Lol

Thank you for trying it out!

Yeah, unfortunately, we designed all of the levels the night before submitting. Thanks for the feedback!

We worked hard on the movement, so that’s nice to hear!

I’ll probably release a second version with a better difficulty curve after the jam is over just for fun

Holy hell, this is a really well made game and potentially so much fun! Everything is soooo well polished! It is a niche game idea, but that just means it’ll hit stronger for its audience.

I do agree with others that the game was a bit too hard, but wow was it still so much fun! I also made my game too hard for most people, unfortunately. I’m able to beat my game in minutes (so did my brother on his first playthrough), whereas everyone else struggles. I assume it was a similar experience for you.

I debated giving this game a perfect score due to the difficulty, and I went ahead and did it anyway since it’s so close to perfection for what it’s trying to accomplish.

I’ve never played it, but YouTube recommended it to me plenty.

Well, you definitely make a very polished game! You seem to make the smart decisions where it counts (i.e. Music, cohesive art style, expandable/extendable but easy to use mechanics).

This was my first gamejam, so I struggled with finding the balance of difficulty vs fun, but you nailed it!

I look forward to more of your projects!

I see. lol I went back and beat it now that you told me. I think I just figured the camera would center there if it was supposed to be like that.

One of the only games so far that I’ve actually finished!

lol I get that. You had a lot of environment for a weeklong gamejam, so making sure everything works perfectly was probably an ontaking. I know that I had to make so many cuts from my little game, yours definitely swamps mine in real estate

I don’t blame you. It will be fun to watch my friends play it and struggle, though >:)

Thanks for playing!

I definitely agree. We planned to have 12 levels with a more steady increase, but the deadline was approaching, and a lot had to be cut. Thanks for playing!

Definitely ambitious going for a narrative experience in a gamejam. Definitely would benefit from z-ordering and such. I walked through a lot of house roofs, bookshelves, and the like. Also, the train didn’t line up with the entering hitbox, so it took me a second to get in.

I enjoyed playing!

My favourite part was the hallway next to the classroom where the hall loops. Although the reflection was just walking around outside of the mirror. Very confused when an inverse colour version of me walked up to me in the hallway lol

I like the concept. I was having a good bit of fun. The hit box for placing the bombs in the disposal unit is very hard to find, so I lost a few times simply from the bomb refusing to be thrown away lol. Luckily a very simple fix.

Other than that, very cool!

Hey, I wanted to try your game to rate it, but it’s apparently password protected. May wanna change that ASAP so people can try it out.

I love logic puzzles, but the guys that are stating that they’re not saying anything really make me confused with the logic of the puzzle.

Are they saying that they’re not saying anything? That’s automatically a lie, then, right? The answer disagrees.

Okay, then if it’s the game stating that he’s not saying anything, then he’s not lying or telling the truth and that makes me confused with anyone that is making a statement about him.

The concept is nice and the overall game looks and feel nice. Maybe I’m just wrong, though. Please correct me if I am.

Definitely reminds me of A Little to the Left, and that’s also a great game. The visuals on this game are top notch! Love it! I did struggle dropping the utensils in the slots sometimes.

Also, I didn’t know that the hints were referring to the text at first, so I kept thinking that the knife was a wooden utensil, so I was scratching my head for a bit when it was saying I was wrong.

Great job, hermit!

I’ve never cared for these types of games, unfortunately, but the game seems very well made. Very responsive, and would be great for people who enjoy bejeweled-esque games! Great job!

Love the graphics for this game, and music fits the vibe very well! Unfortunately, like the 5th level, I think, bugged and the camera is too far level, so I can only see 1 guy. Unless I’m misunderstanding something. Cool concept, though!

Yeeeaaaah… Sorry. I like difficulty in games. My friend who doesn’t really play platformers was really struggling. lol Thank you for playing though! My brother beat it in like 10 mins, though, somehow…
