So I ran that through Google Translate and think I know the problem sadly.

It looks like they only support STARTTLS over the normal IMAP/SMTP ports where I don’t support STARTTLS at this time.

I expect a direct TLS port such as the 465/993 that require TLS. So sadly looks like until I get to implementing STARTTLS it won’t work with your provider.

New version is coming but that cert.pem is a normal fail and does not impact the usage of AMail.

It is just how AmiSSL (OpenSSL) looks for additional certs you may have to include in the cert chain. Pretty normal not to have that.

Now will have to dig into your email provider some to see what is going on there.

Ok that was way easier than expected and will be in the next release.

I have added that to my todo list. Its a little farther down though as I am focusing right now on UTF8 and then trying to figure out how to parse some HTML.

Question: How many messages are in your INBOX so I can also try to reproduce which will make it easier to find a good solution.

I appreciate you taking a look and the review. I plan to continue to work on the project as this is something I feel strongly that needs to exist.

This is very much a work in progress and as such I want to focus my time on the App itself over logistics of posting other places.

So that means for now I am just going to leave things here.

I do appreciate your comments and point of view though.

Currently it is here as that is where the Amiga Tool Jam 2025 is and that is what motivated me to write the app!
