Clean simple and fun! Wish I had someone besides me to play this as it made me extremely nostalgic for old 2p games, but I even enjoyed playing it by myself. I feel like the wind was a great touch, but it was hard to read the throws sometimes because you couldn't see off screen. Would've loved if the camera zoomed out during that part. Also I'm not sure about the physics. The snowballs seemed to lose speed in the air, even with wind in their favor?
All in all great entry. Good job!
I had a lot of fun with this one - and I have to admit I spent almost 50 minutes trying to finish it but ended up ragequitting in the end haha. It's a really addictive game and takes the idea of momentum well. There's some quality of life things missing that would make this a top ranking game for me. It was extremely hard to read speed and distance at times, so I would have loved to have some better indicators of that, like a little speedometer and maybe some props on the sidelines of the track. It would also have been great to have some of the corners be tilted to get that real drifting experience. The first person camera switchup was sudden and fun and made me expect more shenanigans. How many levels were there in total acutally? Might revisit this after some christmas drinks. All in all great style and fun gameplay. Good job.
Cool take and original concept for this theme! Congrats on getting a nice progression with multiple mechanics and even a tutorial in there. The bubbly sound worked well too. At some point I discovered just camping my soapy sponge friend was the dominant strategy, and the idea of splitting a bubble didn't come to mind anymore bc it would automatically grow and split. That being said, I had fun and can see you worked hard on this. Great job <3
Amazing entry - especially for solo dev. The mechanics are simple and clean and just work well. The visual style is crisp and consistent - loved the vst scanline shader. The menu is clear and easy to navigate. I think the music added great vibes. I would have loved to have a couple more sfx (audio person here srry) - or visual clues - to indicate the tension of the avalanche proximity or progress across the level. It would be great post jam to put a handful of sounds in there just to give it that extra level of polish and player feedback. That being said, this is an amazing feat. Great job!
Super cool idea and take at the theme. I liked the art and sounds. Loved the explanation of mechanics in the menu, but got confused as to what the goal was when I entered the level. I think you've got a cool concept on hands that can take a lot of expanding in different directions. Curious to see if and how you'll keep developing it. Great job for a gamejam game!
Cool take on the theme! Liked a lot of the graphics and sounds. Especially liked the idea that you choose your opponent rather than your own player stats - super cool take and original concept.
I would've loved some music and had a hart time reading the text - it was very small for some reason. Still had a good time. Good job on this entry!
Good idea and great assets. I liked the 2D character mixed in the 3D environment. The lights passing by and forming shadows also really helped to sell the immersion. Suggestion for improvement I think would be camera zooming or positioning based on speed. Reading the depth of the character was kinda hard and at max speed quite impossible. Nevertheless I had fun. Great job!
