The poor performance may just be an issue with your device. I also accidentally opened it twice waiting for it to open once and it performed terribly so you may have done something similar. And for the quest items not being there after you finish: the quest items are different from the same item laying around somewhere else on the map. You have to pick up the non quest version for it to save in your inventory.

Ah that makes more sense. It's a fun game with great potential so far though.

How do you complete the first quest to get tied up? I feel like I've exhausted every dialogue option and replayed the apothecary scenario like eight times trying to leave it with tied arms. I assume the girl that runs off is important but she didn't appear anywhere else after I looked all around. Maybe I missed something but it feels like I'm just not able to do the first quest.
