Also sorry if this got kind of long-winded, this is just my review style, I'm not used to commenting things on itch.io but since I'm friends with the creator I felt obligated to write alot about it

The microphone girl (I forgot her name sorry) is really fun as an OC, she's quite a flashy standout while still having a very defined place and purpose in Gensokyo. Her integration as the star of the show is excellent, and the game is really carried by her involvement!! Raiko was a perfect pick for the protagonist by the way, they were basically made to clash with eachother~

Despite the unfortunate lack of a main stage, the core game's an impressively consistent take on an extra stage bossfight, with really wonderful and thematic spellcards! Seriously, this is such a wonderful fight! I can't say it's perfect as a few patterns feel too sudden and maybe too intense, but you can just continue if you pichunn anyway so it's only an annoyance at worst

Visuals are perfect, they NAIL the ethereal Touhou style, alongside the high-definition sprites and assets, super lovely character portraits, and the cover art especially nails the look!! The ending sequence is so authentically drawn too...

The music, despite mostly sticking to the tried and true Touhou style, goes absolutely *full-circle* with it, really squeezing all the juicy melodies it can out of the instruments, and the result is really nice to listen to. It's quite engorged too, with tracks for the ending, credits, stage (that doesn't exist yet), there's a lot here!! The sound effects are nice too!!

My only issue with the writing is that the first dialogue exchange goes on for quite a bit, and it hurts the pacing a bit. The actual dialogue nails the somewhat-airheaded 2hu dialogue style, and the ending is especially beautifully-written...

So yeah, I like this game alot. It's high-quality, it nails the jam's theme, it executes it's core idea really really well, and if the spellcards were just a *bit* more evenly balanced, it would be an easy 5/5!! (oh and maybe an actual stage would make it feel more complete, kthxbai)

NURSE ANNALYNN IS REAL, WE ARE SO BACK
(game actually looks fun tho, will be playing soon)

Found out about this game from a dev on bluesky posting about their game that's inspired by this one, and this is delightful!!

The core concept is really damn solid, and barring the really steep difficulty of the levels, I really dig it!

A refined take on this would be killer in my opinion, looking forward to the steam release!!
