That's funny, I noticed this game on Bluesky, and wasn't even aware this was a submission for this jam! Anyways, as I already told you there, this is a very dark yet cool game!
The lack of control is justified by the narrative and I liked how you mixed 3d scenes with typography and shader effect. Good job!
Cool deck building game! I love how you've polished your UI, the feedback every actions provides is satisfying. The action cooldown reminded me of my old days of World of Warcraft. You try to look at applying a color palette for your game that would greatly increase the visual appeal of it. There were also a couple of texture that you could improve (I'm thinking especially at the closing button).
But overall, this is an impressive undertaking, thanks for making that game!
I can't believe I never left a comment here... I spent so much time on this game with friends. It's hilarious, fun and all I liked about watching athletics on TV: weird looking sport, obscure rating systems and a public that seem to know perfect how to tell a good from bad performance.
Definitely Gold Medalist (WR) of my itch games.
That's nice and well implemented. The atmosphere you created is also very cool with a good use of lighings.
I was a bit confused with the game play though. Are you supposed to get the red skulls or avoid them? I initially tried to collect them all but they really looked like the game over screen so after my first death I wasn't sure anymore.
Thanks for making this game!
This is really cool. I love how smooth the control and ennemies are.
Some improvements I could see benefiting the game:
- You could simplify your controls in the menus to a single button. I don't see a reason to have the space bar at the beginning then the right click when you want to restart.
- I'd pick a more abstract background than a brick wall. Maybe something reminiscent of the round shapes of the game?
Overall, it's a great little project and I loved how well it runs and how satisfying it is to play. Good job!
Arg I died just 5 turns before the end :(
It was a cool experience. I loved the ambiance and the gameplay is interesting.
I noticed a weird behavior with the dark overlay that is supposed to cover the right tab with the third level of research, it does not scale with the browser's zoom, so you can access them from the beginning if you zoom/unzoom the webpage.
Thanks for making this game!
