I know this is a total necro but come on, "trusting people online may not be a great way of learning how to make it functional" this is genuinely how most indie devs code their games without prior knowledge to something, they have to learn how to do it somehow. Genuinely how else do you think they learnt how to code what they've coded in besides maybe a class or two?
