I'm giving itch a chance with my project as they're opening things back up again. Since I'm not seeking money, I should be fine. I'm still not comfortable with how nebulous the whims of the PPs are, but I'll see what happens.

Hello all. I'm Ekluya (a pen name). 

I am a hobbyist writer and gamer, and currently trying my hand at making a visual novel, The Mask of Eve. It's my profile and you can check it out if you like.

I've been a casual user of itch.io for a while now, and looking to be part of the indie game dev community.

This is quite unfortunate and seals the deal that my game project will not be uploaded here, as it deals with mature themes.

So nice of itch.io to not only bend over but also take it up the ass as well. These draconian rules would never be applied to film, TV, literature, or even AAA games. It's a straight-up double standard.

I'm afraid that itch.io will now go the way of Tumblr into irrelevancely.

I'm in the same boat. I have a VN I'm working on, and while I don't consider it a sex game or eroge, it does have adult content. I was planning on having it here. I'm currently debating that with all that has occurred. Still going to work on it though.
