If you liked this goblin, then be sure to check out the other in the jam (there are a surprising number of them, hahaha) some of them even commented on this game!

(1 edit)

Our main focus was to get the gameplay as smooth (and slick) as possible, and I am so glad that came through. Thank you so much for playing!

Thank you so much, that is exactly what we were going for!

Keep a lookout, because we will be posting updates after the jam is over 🤞

Thank you so much for playing, and my counter-part made all the art of which that shimmy is definitely my favorite so far! You also nailed it on the direction we were trying to go.

BUT yeah, there were indeed some fun bugs that made it in like the lack of rotation snapping when switching going over the goal post. I am currently working on ironing out those bugs, but I am waiting for the jam to be officially over to post some updates

This is FANTASITC! And the amount of polish in such a short time is commendable: Mini-maps, character customization, enemy variation, boss fights, and more. I loved the bouncing bullet mechanic for ricochet shots around corners in later levels. Not sure it was an intended feature, but I did use the pistol ricochet to move myself around faster in those later levels (post boss where they were more abundant).

I think it has already been said, but a suggested feature: Throwing the empty weapon as a blunt object to do damage (with it disappearing on hit like the other projectiles)

And last but not least: Shoutout for the Barrel Goblin representation!

Thank you so much for playing! Those rolling mechanics where one of the key features I worked hard to make feel good.

Hell yeah, that IS a crazy coincidence (and good taste 😏)!

Thank you so much for playing!

Great intro and amazing detail in your pixel art! The physics are slick, and after a few mins I found myself pulling off some really satisfying maneuvers. The enemies colliding with the snow drift particle really pushes the player to maneuver themselves into that sweet-spot where you thread the needle though multiple enemies while pulling off a drift for maximum SLICK effect

Thank you! You hit it right on the nose. That was (and still is) the plan

GOBLINS UNITE!

This is silly, slick, an full great Character design. Fantastic job, my fellow goblin enjoyer!

Thank you! We had 4 more levels planned, but that was way too ambitious for the time frame. We do plan to keep updating it, so stay on the lookout!

Me 2 (t’was the last animation before time ran out 😅

Thank you for contribution to goblin cause, too!

Thank you! Our test level for the longest time was just OG Sonic’s Green Hill

The issue is now fixed! I was using the FileLoader instead of the ResourceLoader for dynamic sprite creation… which of course doesn’t work when it is not looking at a file system with pngs 🙃 BUT it is all good now

Yeah I am sorry we are working though fixing the executable bugs. Please try again soon 🤞
