Phaser is a great engine for creating 2D web-based games. The output size is small, it loads quickly, and it's perfect for game jams, as most people prefer trying out browser games instead of downloading large files from what I noticed.

Yes, I had randomization in mind, but with the time spent on game balancing and testing, I decided not to include it to avoid introducing any last-minute bugs. :) If it had been a 3-day jam, I definitely would have gone for it. Thanks again!

Yes, there  is. :) After 200 days. There  are 3 endings.

Couldn't see the stairs going down with the torch on. Was walking backwards and realized that there were stairs.
