thanks! on the one hand, i can see your point that people who know some Chinese would be able to come up with puns that are more unique to each word and don't confuse themselves with other similar-sounding words, but on the other hand i hope that coming up with puns should be accessible to a larger number of people than just those who already know Chinese, since you would be thinking about how it sounds without necessarily needing to know the language. hopefully that clears things up!
haha thanks! glad to hear some laughs were had. i appreciate y'all for organizing a lobby to try together. if you have time, let me know one of the parts of the UI that was a bit confusing - maybe the Host/Guest label looked like a button, or the join button isn't consistently styled like the other buttons?
i'm trying to get back into making games as a solo indie game dev, so constructive feedback is appreciated, and if you enjoy this game, please consider donating!
the general idea is that sometimes you end up with funny suggestions from pals for things that sound like the word and end up helping you remember the word better. along the lines of / taking inspiration from "Gartic Phone" "Pic-Me!" and "Make it Meme"
thanks! i put effort into making the little mascot that squints when you hover/click on it and tried to make the general UI look nice. besides the game page description notes, the general idea is that sometimes you end up with funny suggestions from pals for things that sound like the word and end up helping you remember the word better. along the lines of / taking inspiration from "Gartic Phone" "Pic-Me!" and "Make it Meme". hopefully that clears things up?
