Yeah, I wrote that post late at night, but now I think you’re right — it really is too much work. I’ll see what I can adjust. Honestly, I was expecting something more sketch-like rather than fully polished artwork — just enough to visually get a sense of how things might look. But even at that level, it still seems like a lot.

Hello! I’m a writer working on my first visual novel. The story for prologue and code are ready, and now I need: 5 backgrounds, 5 CG illustrations, and 6 character sprites

Art Style & Requirements:

• Backgrounds and CGs: Colored sketches are sufficient.
• Sprites: Two facial expressions per character and one alternate outfit for the main heroine.
• Creative Freedom: You’re welcome to define the characters’ appearances and style, working within the story’s core concepts. I’m open to tweaking the narrative slightly to align with your designs if needed. 

Ideally, I’d love to work with:

1. A sprite artist
2. A background artist
3. A CG artist

Open to Beginners: I'll be happy to work with beginners too. After all, everyone has to start somewhere.

Art Ownership: Artists will retain full rights to their artwork.

Timeline: No strict deadlines, but I’d like to wrap up by New Year’s.

Concept: The protagonist wakes up in a nightmarish labyrinth with yellow walls, pursued by a terrifying creature. After escaping, she finds herself in a strange bar, where she is met by six unwilling captives: a mad escapist, a detached young writer, a kind-hearted girl, a pragmatic forty-year-old scientist, a smiling woman in her thirties, and a taciturn bartender. No one—or almost no one—understands what is happening, and each harbors their own inner demons.
