Oh, if this helps, it only happened after I successfully escaped after two characters were downed. They were set to level 1 as well.
Unsure, I know I went right, and it was early on, so probably the first two on the right. Overwrote the bugged saved file, sorry I couldn't help more.
During the statue section, if you get downed, all your items disappear, completely ruining my game.
edit: Thankfully, I had a backup save, beat the current version, really fun. Hope that bug gets fixed. Excited to see what comes next.
